When I travel, I like to tell and show people in other countries about my life in the Netherlands. People usually react enthusiastic and amazed when I show them photo’s of the Netherlands. That is why I started the project ‘ typical dutch’. With this project I made a photobook of the Netherlands to show abroad. To find out what is typical dutch, I asked dutch people what they think is typical for the country they live in. I got a lot of reactions! I collected all the ideas and started photographing. This series is the result of this project.
