The beauty of Ghana

This series is a collection of photo’s I made when I first travelled to Ghana. It was the first time I went to sub-saharan Africa and I was impressed! The colours, the beautiful and strong people, the happy kids. But I was also touched by the poverty, lack of facilities and tough circumstances to live in. It was so different from the other countries I have been to. It made me realise how priviliged I am to have so many choices in my life, while others can only struggle to survive the day. It was an important trigger for me to realize my dreams and focus my life on the things I love to do, and not the things I am supposed to do. These photo’s are made with love and when I see them they call out my feelings of love for the people and love for Africa. I lost a piece of my heart in Africa and this journey was the beginning.
